Simple, fun, and easy DIY snow!

Looking for a fun holiday activity for the kids? This DIY snow is hours of fun. It is easy to make and a great sensory activity as well. We made this with kids ages 4-11 and everyone had a blast. Ok, even I thought it was so much fun, it brought out the inner kid and me and definitely got me in the holiday spirit!

Ingredients

1. 2 cups shaving cream or white conditioner

2. 1 box of baking soda

3. Container for snow, I like to use the foil baking trays. I give each kid their own.

4. Bowl and Spoon to mix snow in.

5. Fun sand toys for snow play (I also like to grab trees and other accessories at the Dollar Store. I also have the kids grabs rocks and sticks from outside to play with or use for a snowman),

Step 1

Pour 1 box of baking soda into the bowl.

Step 2

Add two cups of shaving cream or white conditioner.

Step 3

Mix the shaving cream and baking soda. Add more shaving cream if desired. It should immediately form a snow like texture.

Step 4

The kids can knead the snow and it is ready. It will be moldable, a bit like kinetic sand. We were able to store the snow by putting a lid on the foil tin but a plastic bag should work as well. It kept for several days.
