Quick and easy frozen Fourth of July DOLE Banana pops, a healthier treat option for the whole family!

Delicious Frozen July Fourth DOLE Banana Pops

One of Livi's favorite summer time treats I make is Frozen Banana Pops. For those of you following along you may have seen us post it a few years ago. Well this year Livi decided we needed to make them for Fourth of July, so that is what we did. It is a much healthier snack option for the kiddos and yes Olivia considers this her ice cream treat! They are all so fun and festive. As always, these were taste tested and approved by both daddy and Olivia. Enjoy!

Delicious Frozen July Fourth DOLE Banana Pops

Ingredients (makes 4 DOLE Banana pops)

1. 2 DOLE Bananas

2. Red, white and blue sprinkles. We were also able to find star sprinkles, perfect for the Fourth! Red, white, and blue Mini M&M's. mini chocolate chips, cereal or any other topping also work.

3. 3/4-1 cup non-fat vanilla Greek yogurt or Other Flavored yogurt (We used Yoplait Go-gurt two tubes, raspberry/strawberry flavors, because that was all we had and it was a hit)

4. Popsicle sticks or cake-pop sticks. We found rainbow colored popsicles sticks and used the red and blue to add to the holiday feel.

5. Wax paper

6. Baster

Step 1

Peel the DOLE Bananas and cut in half so there are 4 in total.

Step 2

Insert the popsicle sticks or cake-pop sticks in the bottom flat part of each banana.

Step 3

Cover each banana in yogurt. You can either roll the bananas on a plate in the yogurt or use a basting brush or small spatula to do this.

Step 4

Sprinkle the topping (sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, etc.) on each DOLE Banana. I found it easiest to hold the banana by the popsicle stick and then sprinkle it on while twirling the banana in my hand.

Step 5

Place the bananas on a plate or tray lined with wax paper. Freeze for at least 1-2 hours and enjoy the smiling faces! Happy Fourth of July!

Quick and easy OREO pops, perfect for the Fourth of July!

Fourth of July OREO Pops

Looking for a quick and easy festive treat for Fourth of July? We loved making these fun OREO Pops. They are super easy, taste delicious, and are a wow at any Fourth of July Party! As always, these were taste tested and approved by both daddy and Olivia.

Ingredients:

1. OREO Cookies

2. Red, white, and blues sprinkles, star sprinkles, mini M&M's,, or any toppings

3. Cute blue and white or red and white straws or popsicles sticks. We found cute, festive straws with pinwheels at the 99 Cents Store.

4. Ghiradelli White Melting Chocolate

5. Bowl and Spoon

6. Flat tray or Plate lined with wax paper

Step 1

Melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl.

Step 2

Insert the popsicle sticks or cake-pop sticks into the OREO. I like to use a little melted chocolate to hold it in place. We found fun and festive pinwheel straws which were perfect, but any fun sticks or straws should work.

Step 3

Dip each cookie into the melted chocolate. I like to use a spoon to cover the cookie with chocolate and to turn the cookie over.

Step 4

Lay the cookie flat on the plate with wax paper and then sprinkle on the toppings. Then let sit for 10-15 so that the chocolate can harden. The longer you wait, the sturdier they are. You can even put them in the fridge for a little. Then enjoy!

Disney Juniors : "Eureka" Pizza Party and Sneak Peek

[Los Angeles, CA] — "Everybody Lava Pizza!" It was a pizza party at our house, thanks to Disney Junior. They sent us a personalized pizza stone kitchen set and all the best ingredients from Jon and Vinny's, in Brentwood, CA. We were able to preview the newest Disney Junior show Eureka and make our own pizza. One of the very first shows we watched was "Everybody Lava Pizza." Eureka is an imagineer, living in the fantastical prehistoric world of Rocky Falls. She is an eight year inventor and uses creative, out-of-the-box thinking to make the world a better place. In "Everybody Lava Pizza", Eureka accidentally unleashes a steam geyser at her mom's restaurant and uses lava power ovens to invent pizza!

Daddy and Livi Making Pizza and Watching Disney Junior's Eureka

As a mom I love that there is no technology, since it is set in prehistoric times, and Eureka has to figure things out. I feel like we are always on technology overload these days. Eureka is such a positive character and always optimistic. Through the beautiful animation you can always see Eureka "thinkering", and you can see the creative process going on in her head. I love that her ideas don't always work, she has to fail a few times to get it right. Livi can be hard on herself, as most little ones can. So it is awesome to have this positive lead reminding kids, it's ok to fail, eventually you will get it right, don't give up. The diverse characters, all with different personalities also really add to the show. Eureka herself is super smart and yet she is popular. I love that, definitely girl power, reminding kids it's cool to be smart.

The series premieres WEDNESDAY, JUNE 22, at 7:30 p.m. EDT/PDT on Disney Junior. An initial batch of episodes will also premiere the same day on on-demand platforms and streaming on Disney+.

Premiere Episodes :

EPISODE 101: TUSKS, TROUBLE AND ALL: Eureka and her friends, Pepper and Barry, free a woolly mammoth.

ABSOFLUTELY FABULOUS: Eureka tries to befriend a flute player in her class by inventing her a new flute.

EPISODE 102: EVERYBODY LAVA PIZZA: Eureka accidentally unleashes a steam geyser at her mom's restaurant, which leads to the invention of pizza.

PREHISTORIC CLASS PETS: Pepper's pet Dipply follows her to school one day, inspiring other pets to do the same.

The music in this series is so fun and positive too! Check out the awesome clip below from "Think Differently." Your kids will definitely be signing along! This mom loves songs that have a positive message, definitely what I want Livi to be singing!

We are so thankful for the opportunity to preview this show. You don't want to miss Eureka on Disney Junior! Eureka is definitely learning to embrace that she is not ordinary … she’s extraordinary, something all kids should learn. To my sweet Livi Bean you will always be extraordinary!
